Biztalk Developer

NextStep Recruiting is seeking a BizTalk Developer with a strong integration background for an established technology firm. This position will work closely with a small team to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-level integration solutions, primarily leveraging BizTalk and IBM MQ to handle data exchange. In addition, you will support and optimize existing systems, collaborate cross-functionally to drive process improvements, and provide level 3 client-facing support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement BizTalk integrations (pipelines, orchestrations, functions, and maps)
• Configure and maintain IBM MQ Series solutions (server-side, queues, monitoring)
• Oversee the full development lifecycle, ensuring quality and timely delivery
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, serving as a level 3 support resource
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including external clients, to gather requirements and provide technical solutions
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience working with C#.NET
• Expertise in BizTalk (2012 or higher), including administration, installation, and maintenance
• Demonstrated skill in IBM MQ Series, with knowledge of APIs, queue configuration, and monitoring
• Proficiency in T-SQL and SQL Server (2008/2012 or higher)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, team collaboration tools (such as TFS), and web service/WCF solutions
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a high-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities

Preferred/Beneficial

• Exposure to Azure and related cloud services
• Microsoft MCAD certification or other relevant credentials
• Experience leading or mentoring junior team members
• A background in developing solutions with a high attention to detail and accuracy
