NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a client in Frisco, TX. Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join on a contract basis. 

Responsibilities: 

• Review and analyze account reconciliations prepared by the reconciliation team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Manage and oversee high-volume cash application processes, including numerous credit card transactions and related research.
• Support complex accounting areas such as intercompany transactions, month-end close activities, and ad hoc cross-functional accounting needs.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong general ledger and reconciliation expertise.
• Proven ability to work independently, review the work of others, and adapt across multiple accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, and previous experience with MS Dynamics preferred
