NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a client in the St. Louis, MO area to find a strong Senior Accountant on a direct hire basis.
Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process, including complex journal entries, reconciliations, and progress reporting.
- Review staff accountants’ work, guide on technical accounting issues, and support team development.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve escalated accounting issues across business units.
- Support audits, special projects, and integration/accounting for newly acquired entities.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred).
- 1–2 years of experience leading or mentoring staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master's Degree or CPA-eligible preferred.
- Experience working in large, complex organizations (>$500M in revenue preferred).
