NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a client in North Dallas, TX! Our client is seeking a Sr. Accounting Manager with an emphasis in Fixed Assets to join their team.  

Responsibilities:

• Own the fixed asset accounting function, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, impairments, and asset retirements in accordance with ASC 360.
• Oversee lease accounting for operating and finance leases, including new lease setup, modifications, remeasurements, and terminations.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to fixed assets and leases, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Assist with ERP implementation and improve manual processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with direct oversight of Fixed Assets and Leases
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting systems (ERP experience required).
• Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and manage change effectively.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred
