NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a leading organization in the construction industry as they are seeking to hire a dynamic. This amazing opportunity will support the General Counsel and will bring extensive experience supporting internal counsel and cross-functional teams, with a focus on construction law as it relates to handling contracts and employment law. This professional will be skilled in handling contentious and non-contentious matters, managing complex documentation, and ensuring legal compliance across multiple domains.

Required:

• Paralegal certification or a background in legal studies
• Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis), Microsoft Office, and case management systems
• Minimum 5 years of relevant paralegal experience in contract and litigation support
• Strong knowledge of contract, employment, and construction law
• Excellent drafting, research, and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business, or a related field
• Prior experience in a corporate legal department, the construction industry, or employment law practice
• Familiarity with contract negotiation processes and compliance documentation
• Experience collaborating with HR, procurement, and project management teams
