NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a communications and technology company to find a Staff Accountant. This on-site, contract opportunity in East Dallas County is ideal for an accounting professional with strong analytical skills and a solid background in accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in resolving complex discrepancies, and confident working cross-functionally to improve financial processes and internal controls.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Advanced Excel skills (sorting/filtering, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
• Experience with JDE and Blackline
• Strong understanding of 2-way and 3-way match processes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

Preferred:

• Experience in distribution or manufacturing environments
• Experience resolving large backlogs of open AR/AP items
• Experience documenting and improving internal accounting controls
