NextStep Recruiting is seeking an Assistant Controller to join a prestigious, global organization in Irving. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the monthly accounting close process, perform detailed financial analysis, and work closely with the Controller to drive efficiency and accuracy across the accounting team. This opportunity offers a dynamic, hands-on leadership position where you will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations for a multi-entity organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly closing of accounts, ensuring all deadlines are met and objectives are achieved
• Motivate and guide department managers to improve processes and deliver timely results
• Oversee the entire data entry process, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and improved internal controls
• Partner with the Controller and accounting team on day-to-day operations, supporting financial reporting and system enhancements
• Foster a culture of mentorship and positive change, providing recommendations to the Controller for continuous process improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required (CPA preferred)
• Minimum of 5+ years of corporate management experience, with a thorough understanding of financial and accounting principles
• Strong experience with multi-entity operations, preferably in a $500M+ revenue environment
• Ability to partner with the IT team on a GP to Dynamics migration
• Hands-on leadership style, capable of motivating a team and driving accountability
• Experience with Microsoft GP or similar accounting software preferred
