NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a commercial real estate services organization to identify a Commercial Real Estate Attorney in Dallas, TX. This role is onsite and will support in-house lease review and negotiation for a high-volume portfolio of retail and tenant clients. This position is ideal for an attorney with strong commercial leasing experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is interested in transitioning into or continuing within an in-house setting.

Required:

• Juris Doctor (JD) and an active Texas bar license
• 3–7 years of experience reviewing and negotiating commercial retail /tenant leases
• Strong understanding of tenant-side leasing, including key provisions and risk mitigation
• Ability to manage a high volume of lease reviews in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication and contract drafting skills

Preferred:

• Prior in-house experience or desire to transition from a law firm to an in-house role
• Experience supporting franchise or multi-unit retail/tenant clients
• Familiarity with lease structures, including amendments, renewals, and related agreements
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
