NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a leader in live events and hospitality in Frisco, TX! Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant on a short-term contract basis.  

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to GAAP and company policies
• Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and monthly closing processes
• Oversee cash forecasting, AP/AR, and general ledger activities with an emphasis on efficiency and compliance 
• Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to support financial objectives and business strategy

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience 
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting 
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
