Controller. Small Business Controller. NextStep Recruiting is working with a local, growing, and busy Dallas CPA firm that is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager or Controller for their accounting services team. Job duties will include handling the monthly general ledger close for multiple small and medium-sized organizations, conducting monthly P&L and Balance Sheet Review sessions, and being available for any operational accounting duties, questions, or consulting work required for the client portfolio. Candidates should have the following:

• A BBA in Accounting or a similar field. Advanced Degree and/or certifications/licensure a plus
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and accounting leadership experience with small and medium-sized organizations. Diverse industry experience or experience with CPA firms is a plus
• Strong QuickBooks Online and Excel skills are needed
• Strong communication skills
