NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a client in North Dallas, TX! Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager with an emphasis in Fixed Assets to join their team.  

Responsibilities:

• Lead all fixed asset and capital project accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, CIP, transfers, and disposals.
• Manage asset-related month-end close activities, reconciliations, reporting, and GAAP compliance.
• Partner cross-functionally (Construction, Real Estate, Facilities, IT) to ensure accurate accounting for new stores, remodels, and technology investments.
• Maintain strong internal controls, support audits, drive process improvements, and develop asset accounting staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting, capital projects, depreciation, and GAAP.
• Experience with ERP systems and fixed asset subledgers; strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred
