Plant Controller. Controller, Manufacturing. Controller, Energy. NextStep Recruiting is working with a private equity-owned, growing energy manufacturing organization that is looking for a Plant Controller. This role ideally will sit in Houston with travel to the Amarillo/Lubbock areas of Texas about 30%. This is a unique Plant Controller role as the role will manage the manufacturing accounting, cost analysis, and inventory accounting of a state-of-the-art fuel production plant. This role will also be involved in M&A due diligence, capital projects, and strategy as the organization looks to grow rapidly over the next few years through M&A. 

Candidates must have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field. CPA is plus
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including some leadership experience. Strong General Ledger, U.S. GAAP
• Any experience with M&A, capital investment analysis, or growth strategy is a plus
• Experience in the energy industry, energy manufacturing, oil and gas, fuels, etc., is a plus
• Strong ERP systems experience with Microsoft Great Plains (GP) being a big plus
