NextStep Recruiting is working with a top-tier retail organization to find a Data Engineer II to join their growing data team. This role is responsible for integrating diverse data sources, transforming data, and optimizing solutions to drive business insights and operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and implement data pipelines to extract, cleanse, and transform data for business use.
• Ensure data quality, integration, and automation of monitoring processes.
• Optimize and support Azure & Databricks data solutions.
• Provide technical support for data-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving escalated problems.
• Collaborate with teams to improve business intelligence models and reporting capabilities.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills & Technologies:

• Databricks & Databricks SQL
• Python & PySpark Libraries
• T-SQL, Azure Data Factory, SSIS
• Azure DevOps Pipelines and Repositories
• Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on experience in data transformation
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure Synapse & Power BI Modeling
• Familiarity with data technologies and best practices
• Background in computer science, MIS, or a related field
