Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer – Full Stack | 90-day 2/3 Hybrid, then more flexibility 

We’re partnering with a growing, tech-driven company modernizing its legacy platform into a scalable, service-oriented architecture. This full stack Ruby on Rails role is deeply hands-on and highly collaborative. You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, Accounting, eCommerce, and more to shape solutions that directly impact the business.

The team is moving beyond a traditional Rails monolith, incorporating microservices, web APIs, and a Next.js UI for a more responsive, device-driven experience. They're also migrating to AWS and integrating Terraform into the stack. Agile is evolving too — the team is shifting from Scrum to Kanban to stay nimble in a fast-moving environment. Ideal candidates bring a builder’s mindset, strong communication skills, and a passion for modern, adaptive engineering.

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of Ruby on Rails experience in high-traffic, transactional environments
• Full stack development with modern API architecture (REST, JSON)
• Strong SQL (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and Linux shell scripting experience
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and adapt to shifting priorities

Preferred:

• Experience with Next.js or other React-based frameworks
• Familiarity with AWS and Terraform for infrastructure-as-code
• Background in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.)
• Exposure to Kanban or flexible Agile environments
