NextStep Recruiting is working with a top HVAC solutions company in East Texas to find a Product Development Engineer specializing in Residential Packaged Products. This key role focuses on developing new refrigeration systems and sustaining current product lines through quality and productivity improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in HVAC refrigeration system design and development (7+ years for internal candidates)
• Knowledge in refrigeration system design, problem-solving, and project planning
• Proficiency with software like CREO (Pro-E), CeTol, and Mechanica for FEA
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to work in a team-oriented setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt/Lean Expert
• Familiarity with design for manufacturing, assembly, and ergonomics (DFMAE) principles
• Hands-on experience with quality improvement and cost-reduction projects

Location: Hybrid work schedule based in Tyler, Texas, with up to 15% travel domestically and internationally.
